Central Hall

Located in Pocklinton, East Yorkshire, 13 miles east of York. The Central Hall is listed in a 1914 trade directory and Kinematograph Year Books from 1931 until 1942. It is not listed in 1947 so it must have closed in the mid-1940’s. There was one aisle with seats on both sides and a coke stove in the centre. The roof was corrugated iron and you could see the stars through the joins in the winter. In 2003 the building was used as by an electrical retailer but in 2015 seems to be an Indian restaurant.
