The building was not demolished and still exists today though in an almost unrecognisable state. It is on the corner of Cornbrook Street and Carriage Street. The Cornbrook Street facade has been clad in metal panels. There are a couple of photos at https://apps.trafford.gov.uk/TraffordLifetimes/ but I can’t link directly to them. A search for Cornbrook Street will find them. It is easy to locate the Globe on the aerial photo as the name is painted on the roof.
My Family bought the cinema in the 1970’s/1980’s and own it today. Nothing apart from the shell of the screen area remains and some tiling remains. It was known locally as the flee pit!
