I agree with CBA, this was the former Bridgeport News building and is now part of the Ramova project.

The 1912 Sanborn Map has the theater at 3506 (Bridgeport News as of writing), so it might not have need to be removed as Broan speculated. I don’t know for sure, of course.

I’m writing a book about the history of Bridgeport for Arcadia Publishing and would LOVE a picture or two of the Wallace.

Please contact me if you have any of the Wallace or any Bridgeport theaters (I have the Ramova, The Milda and The Eagle (1991), but would love to see any and all shots of the 12-13 theaters that used to be in the neighborhood.

On a really sad note, Nancy of Nancy’s Best Little Hair House passed away his past week. The Wallace theater building has been for sale for the last few months too.

Look forward to hearing from you.

This is the building that is currently “Nail Station”. The theater part of it used to go back farther but was removed, likely to make way for construction of the Ramova.

I think this theatre is now a pc service place and it may share space with a Tak Kon Do studio. A lot of this part of the city is being bought up and made into condos and mix use buld`s.
