They seem to have had some occasional art-house programs.
During the week of April 13, 1955, the Joy Theatre had CinemaScope wide screen and projection equipment installed for movies in that format.
This opened on October 16th, 1946 and closed in 1957. Grand opening ad posted.
The July 5, 1946, issue of Motion Picture Daily said that “Newman R. Robinson, ex-serviceman, formerly affiliated with Robb and Rowley, at Little Rock, Ark., is reported as building a new 275-seat house at West Rutland, Vt.”
