The Desert Drive-In was opened with a ‘soft launch’ on March 14, 1952, screening Eddie Albert in “The Dude Goes West” and Eddie Foy Jr. in “Country Fair”. It was operated by Long Enterprises Inc.
It had it official Grand Opening on June 27, 1952 when it screened Bill Williams in “Blue Blood”. It had closed by 1963.

Looks like it was closed by 1963, it appears derelict in an aerial photo from that year.
