The Beverley Town Hall opened in(1898?), and first showed movies in October 1900. The Beverley Town Hall stopped showing movies in(1928?). The Beverley Town Hall burnt down(date unknown?).
A new town hall(with a outdoor picture gardens) was built and opened in 1938. Unknown if movies were shown in the new Beverley Town Hall? Movies starting been shown in the Picture Gardens in 1938, and possibly stop when the Beverley Drive-In opened on 4th May 1966. The Beverley Town Hall and Picture Gardens are still there, but no longer screen films(?). The Beverley Town Hall and Gardens have been Heritage listed as the only remaining example of a town hall and gardens in rural Western Australia.

I think the picture gardens area is behind the Lesser Hall(left hand side of the town hall)?
Classified by the National Trust on 6/6/1995. State Heritage register 0154, 15/8/2003.
The picture gardens opened on 8th September1938 with Metrotone News, a cartoon Boscoe’s Easter egg, a Pete Smith oddity(Wanted___a Master, a Our Gang comedy(Bored of education), Yellowstone Park(Fitzpatrick Travel in collar) and “After the Thin Man”.
