Gaiety Gardens was constructed on the north side of Forrest Street between Prinsep Street and Harvey Street. The Gaiety Gardens only operated for two summer seasons in(1936 and 1937?). Local children could watch the movies from the railway footbridge. Unknown if the gardens site survives, or if there is anything there now?
