The first Margaret River Hall opened in 1912. Movies were screened from 1929 to (1935 or 1936?). In 1936 a new hall was built in Wilmott Street, and the original hall moved to Gloucester Park and used by local organisations. Movies screenings in the new hall started on 23rd November 1938 and ceased in(in 1954 or 1955?).

The hall was demolished in 1955 to make way for the present Shire Hall(Shiee of Augusta-Margaret River) in Townview Terrace, opened in 1955. There may have been movie screenings in the Shire Hall from 1955 to 1965, when Margaret River Drive-In opened. The Shire Hall is still there, but no longer screens movies?
