The Showtown USA Drive-In opened on August 8, 1968 with Jack Lemmon in “The Odd Couple” & Tom Tryon in “Winchester 73” on the East screen and Lucille Ball in “Yours, Mine and Ours” & Henry Fonda in “Spencer’s Mountain” on the West screen. It was still open in 1980.

A somewhat closer address (at least for Google) is 8310 Eastex Fwy, Beaumont, TX. Today, it is Mulligan’s Golf Range.

The poles that held up the Showtown USA sign appear to be still standing.
I remember going here one rainy night (I don’t live in Texas) back in 1980 to see the Jodie Foster movie ‘Foxes’ that was playing with ‘Blue Lagoon.’ What a trip.
The Showtown USA opened on August 8th, 1968 with “The Odd Couple” and “Your, Mines and Ours”. Grand opening ad posted.
