Eagle Drive-In

Self-billed as the “finest most modern drive-in theatre with wide screen in Texas,” the Eagle Drive-In sported a giant eagle on its screen tower. In 1968, a conversion from family-friendly fare to adult films led to protests that led to the screen being obscured from passers by and city action to try and rid the community of the operation. The drive-in eventually went out of business and was demolished in 1986. The site is now home to the Azle Southeast Storage facility.
