Central Cinema

Listed as the Central Hall from 1925 until the late-1930’s and then as the Central Cinema, although it is believed that films were shown at the hall as early as 1916. It had 650 seats and is believed to have closed in 1984. It was run by Eddie Donovan and was one of two cinemas in the town at the time. The Central Cinema was known as “the below” and the Capitol Cinema as “the above”.
