Located in Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare. The Central Cinema opened in December 1939 and had 300 seats and a Drury sound system fitted. It was set up by Richard Murray, with assistance from Harry Dinnage, in a converted garage at the back of the Tradaree Arms. When sold to Paddy McMahon it continued to show films but closed in the 1970’s.
