Town Twin Drive-In

Originally planned as a twin screen drive-in, it was never realised and always operated as a single screen theatre. The Twin Ranch Drive-In was opened on May 28, 1955. It was owned by Glen McClain. The size of the screen was 42ft x 84ft. It was closed as the Town Twin Drive-In in the 1970’s.

Several business have used the site over the years. The screen still stands in 2018 with advertising for Performance Truck who operate from the site.

The Oct. 1, 1955 issue of Boxoffice ran a two-page spread, with photos of the Twin Ranch. “Only one screen was ready for last summer, serving 300 cars. Mounted on a tower of pine poles set in concrete and braced with welded drill stem steel, the 41x82-foot screen was constructed of center match, covered with felt and faced with Transite.”
