Snellville Cinema

This was among the first of the Jerry Lewis Cinema franchises to open in the state of Georgia during the late-1960’s. It was a modest enterprise situated in the corner of a small shopping center, in what was then a rural and sparsely populated area in Gwinnett County. Its design wasn’t much different than that of the Jerry Lewis Cinema in Enumclaw, WA (later named the Star Cinema). In 1973, the theatre chain went bankrupt and it became an independent operation. It closed in or around 1984 when Septum broke ground on a multiplex just up the road.
