Leopold Cinema

The Winter Paleis opened in 1913 and was a suburban cinema, off the city centre. It was designed by architects Graeve & Lemaire and seating was provided for 540 in the orchestra level and 230 in the balcony. In 1914 it was re-named Imperial Cinema which operated until 1920. It was re-named Lux II and finally re-named Leopold Cinema, closing on 4th September 1964.
