In this town in the south of Antwerp area, (the train station before Berchem) there were three cinemas, the most important was the Allsopp’s Palace. It was opened in 1928. In 1957 Jayne Mansfield in “The Girl Can’t Help It” was shown there. It was closed in the 1970’s.
