The Bay Drive-In was opened on July 11, 1952 with Bob Hope in “Fancy Pants”. It was operated by Fred McLendon. This shows clearly on a 1955 map, but the theater is deserted by the included 1960 picture. I have a listing for it in a document entitled “Southern Alabama Movie Theaters”, but there is no information on it. This theater is east of Bay Minette, but slightly west of Old Pensacola Road.
