Located in the Chiswell district on the Isle of Portland, to the south of Weymouth, Dorset. Built as a Masonic Hall in 1898, by 1914 it had been converted into the Palace Cinema and was operated by the Albany Ward Circuit. It never converted to sound films and closed in the early-1930’s with Greta Garbo in “The Woman of Affairs”(1928).

The building still stands in 2019 in use as the Portland Masonic Centre.
