Located in Yeovil, Somerset. The 1,000-seat Assembly Rooms was opened in 1889. It was part of the Princes Street Constitutional Club building, which also contained a billiard room, card rooms and a bowling room. The first films to be screened in the Assembly Rooms was in 1896. The seating capacity was reduced to 700-seats. By 1914 it was operated by the Albany Ward Circuit as the Prince’s Electric Theatre. It closed as a cinema after the end of World War I in 1918.

It became the Princes Theatre, presenting live entertainment and this continued until it closed in 1974. The building has been converted into shops at street level and offices above. The original auditorium can still be seen at the rear of the building.
