An advertisement, research & the Cross Plains newspaper indicates there had been a Majestic Theater in Cross Plains in the 1920’s. (The advertisement for the Majestic features a silent black & white movie, “The Old Nest” that was written by Rupert Hughes and released in 1921.) The Majestic Theater had closed by 1926.
