The Cozy Theatre was a silent era venue at 6th Street and N. Main Street in downtown Newkirk. It featured both films and live vaudeville. It launched November 26, 1913 with a formal grand opening on February 20, 1914. The Cosy Theatre closed in some summer months when it moved to the Big Tent Theatre nearby. The former Electric Theatre in town became the Palace Theatre opening in 1920 and fell under the same operator.

A decision in February of 1928 to close the Cozy Theatre and eventually convert the Palace Theatre to sound operation. The Cozy Theatre was converted to an expansion project by a local department store.
