Located at 60 Westerville Square, near E. Schrock Road between Route 3 and the western side of Schrock Road, The Loews Westerville opened as a single-screener on November 24, 1971 with Richard Harris in “Man in the Wilderness”.

Along with the Southland Theatre, the Loew’s Westerville was twinned on October 13, 1978.

Loew’s Westerville was closed on September 5, 1996. The building was left abandoned in 2007.

A Big Lots has now moved into the former theatre, since Big Lots is big for the Columbus Metropolitan Area.

Previously the Loews itself in Westerville has a bit of information of the location back then, which has a blue roof with big red Loews letters across the building and posters on windows.

I Can’t Find A Lot Of Information About The Loew’s Westerville.
All I Can Remember Is An Article From February 5th, 1972, Another One From 1981 And That Is It.

The information in this article is incorrect. this theater was NOT DEMOLISHED – Loews Westerville was closed in the late 1990s and converted into MCL cafeteria around 2000, which in turn closed in the mid 2010s. The strip mall this theater is located in was partially demolished and a walmart was built, but neither the portion of the building containing big lots, nor the old theater was demolished – instead the facade was simply altered to match the portion that was newly constructed.
