The U.T. Union Theater was opened in 1906 and was operated by PAGO Projektions Aktiengesellschaft “Union”. The PAGU was founded on 23rd March 1906 by Paul Davidson, Hermann Wronker, Julius Wiesbacher & Max Bauer. In 1910 the Company was re-named Ufa Aktien Gesellschaft and Heinrich Hellwig and Max Jeselen were included. The U.T. Union Theater was destroyed by fire on 12th December 1910. All moviegoers attending were saved.

The Ufa Company built a new cinema at P6 23-24 named the Ufa Theater which has its own page on Cinema Treasures as the Roxy Theater.

In 1911 the remains of the U.T. Union Theater were taken over by Philan Lichtbilder Gesellschaft and following a rebuild it reopened later in 1911 as the Eldorado Theater. It was closed in World War I.
