Arbor Theatre

The Dreamland Theatre was the first nickelodeon in Mansfield. Built in 1906 inside the Brunswick Hotel, it opened on February 9, 1907. The sign outside said Dreamland Theatre because people in 1906 recognized the world “dream” as a sort of synonym for Moving Pictures but once inside the lobby it was called the Arbor Theatre. In 1908 the Dreamland Theatre was operated by E.L. Willis and the program ran continuously. It had closed by 1914.

The Brunswick Hotel was demolished in 1964, becoming part of the municipal parking lot.
