Ranger Drive-In

On July 5, 1952, Billboard reported, “Virby Conley has been named manager of the new drive-in being constructed at Perryton, Tex., by Carl Ellis. Spot will have a 310-car capacity”.

The 1955 Motion Picture Almanac listed the Ranger Drive-In under Perryton with a capacity of 340 cars, owner “Mr. Conley”. The 1955-56 Theatre Catalog listed the Ranger Drive-In’s capacity at 324 cars, owner Virby Conley.

A 1976 topo map showed a drive-in immediately northeast of Perryton where Highway 15 met NE 6th Avenue. It was still intact in a 1996 aerial photo but was apparently used for storage by 2004.
