The Heflin Theatre opened on October 15th, 1936. The Heflin Theatre is the only theatre in Heflin to install CinemaScope on December 2nd, 1954 with a showing of “The Robe”. The theatre closed for a planned remodeling on August 1st, 1959, but it never reopened. The equipment was later sold in June 1961.
