The Marion Theatre was opened by 1914. This theatre appears on the 1920 Sanborn, operating in a 2-story brick storefront. The building was of fairly recent construction, since the 1911 map shows a vacant wooden structure on that lot. This was probably a fairly basic theatre, and it cannot have utilized both floors, since the second floor had a large irregular light well cut out of it.
The Marion Theatre was still open in 1929. The 1931 map shows this structure vacant. The entire southern half of this block was long ago destroyed for a parking lot.
