Teatro Jaurez was one of several Spanish language theatres that served its large population of migrant workers lured after the Mexican Revolution of 1910 drove people out of Mexico. Around 1937, the theatre appears to have rebranded as Teatro Ideal. Based on little, it appears that the theatre was discontinued when Teatro Alameda / Alameda Theatre was built in 1946 and opened in 1947.
