Located in the Harehills district to the northeast of the city. The Harehills Picture House was opened on 12th August 1912. It was redecorated in 1914. It was operated by Alfred Higgins and was designed by architect J.P. Crawford. It boasted a café and a lounge for the convenience of its patrons. In October 1932 it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system and it was re-named Western Talkie Theatre. In 1954 it was re-named Vogue Cinema. It was closed on 13th September 1959. It became a bingo club for a while.
