Action Lafayette

Located in the city centre, not far from the Paris Opera House. The 550-seat Lafayette was opened on March 27, 1931. On December 9, 1966 it was taken over by the operators of the Studio Action chain and was re-named Action Lafayette. It was twinned in November 1972 to the plans of architect Jean-Claude Pourtier. Seating was provided for 145 and 50. Programming consisted of classic American films.

The Action Lafayette was closed on 16th July 1986 with Orson Welles in “The Third Man” & Kim Darby in “The Grissom Gang”. It has been converted into a Carrefour supermarket.
