Photograph of the Regent auditorium, full of timber scaffolding, taken from the stage towards the Dress Circle. Published in Everyones 7th September 1927. Reports at the time claimed 1.25 million bricks, 230 tons of steel, 330 miles of electric wiring and 5000 gallons of paint were used in the building, apart from 200,000 feet of Oregon used for scaffold. An average of 100 workmen a day were employed in the construction.
