IMAX Wien

The IMAX Wien opened in 1992 as the first IMAX theatre in Austria, located in the Pasching district of Vienna. The screen size was 21 x 29 meters. The theatre was operated by LFC Large Format Cinema Betriebgesellschaft. It was installed with analog 70mm 3D IMAX technology. In 2002 it was removed and reopened in Vienna close to the Technische Museum. On 16th November 2005 it was closed and the building was demolished in 2009.
