The Village Theatre opened its doors on August 25, 1976 with Robert Redford in “All The President’s Men” with a capacity of 450 seats. The Village Theatre was first owned by Ronald and Bonnie Ashcroft of Sinking Valley.
The Village Theatre closed for the final time in 1996 after the nearby Clifton Theatre became a five-screen theater.
A Verizon store now occupies the former Village Theatre’s site.

Second run theatre?
Judging from various papers, the Village was actually both a first and second-run theater since its a single-screener.
