The 175-seat Spruce Theatre was opened by 1936. It had closed by 1937. By 1939 it had reopened as the Bushnell Theatre and was still open with 175-seats in 1943. By 1950 it had its seating capacity increased to 330-seats
The Bushnell Theatre was one out of two indoor theatres in the Sumter County seat of Bushnell.
I found a couple of 1950 sponsors and a 1951 index line from the Miami Herald. The Bushnell Theatre was still open in 1957.
