Located in Bulwell to the north of Nottingham. Built as the Town Hall for Bulwell, by the time it opened (as the Public Hall) in 1894, the town had been absorbed into Nottingham, so it was never an administrative centre. There was a concert hall accessed from the Highbury Road entrance with a flat floored stalls floor and a small balcony. This was equipped with a small proscenium arched stage used for concerts and variety, and after the start of the C20th a cinema (a single report suggests 1910-13). Later it became the Embassy Ballroom and the last use, until COVID, was as a boxing academy known as the Fight Club. The auditorium is little changed, save that the balcony has been partitioned-off. There have been plans approved to convert the entire building into 21-apartments.
