Opera House

The first city hall was built sometime before 1909, and was a large wooden building of two stories. An opera house was located above the town offices and fire department.

By 1914, movies were being shown here. It is unclear how long the Opera House was used as a cinema, but this building was demolished sometime around 1930-1940, and replaced by a much larger city hall and auditorium.

This newer building has a stage tower at the rear. It’s unknown if movies were ever featured there.
