Not to be confused with Cinema 12 in Parsippany.

This theater is long gone. The land has been reclaimed as a strip center behind the renovated Cotton Mill Meeting Center (MSU operated). This location also held a Burger King in a log cabin (built for a short-lived bank) and a Ramada Inn. One wing of the Ramada remains as apartments while the front wing was demolished for Buffalo Wild Wings and the log cabin demolished for Chik-fil-A.

This information about Cinema 12 is incorrect. Starkville, MS has two movie theaters: Hollywood Premier Cinemas and Cinema 12 (also known as Starkville Theater). The information provided here seems to be a mix of the two. I am the general manager of Hollywood Premier, and have worked at Cinema 12. Cinema 12 is mostly a squared building. It was opened in the 1970’s with two screens. The building now has five screens, but was closed in December 2003, after a ‘takeover’ by Hollywood Premier that was unable to make it profitable. The name is taken from the fact that it rests on Highway 12. Hollywood Premier Cinemas opened in July 2000 with eight screens, all stadium seating, all curved screens. The building is undergoing an addition that will make the total screen count eleven, the largest theater in north Mississippi. Of these eleven screens, six will have Dolby digital sound. Photos, theater information, and contact information can be found on the theater’s website at: www.hollyoodpremiercinemas.com
