The citizens of Tulsa were so enamored with the Art Deco aesthetic that when the need for a new school emerged due to the population growth spurred by the oil boom, it was constructed with the design elements that made other buildings in the city so stunning. My grandma from Wilmington had a vivid wonderful memory of this place.
