John.It just seems like a distraction with waiters and such.My son worked a Theatre like this in Arlington ,Texas and he waited on TONY ROMO and his date ,Brought him two drinks and got a FIFTY DOLLAR tip. He told Tony he was a Atlanta Falcon Fan,glad he didn’t say Eagles,Redskins or Giants.LOL.
Thanks again Chuck 1231.Sometimes I feel I shouldn’t even put them on if I am not 100%,but realize guys like you can really help clear up any Questions.
Sometimes these little Drive-ins in the mountains make some of the prettiest Drive-ins.I remember one outside of Asheville,N.C. heading to Tennessee on the old state highway before I-40 was built.I have tried to remember the name, but can’t.Beautiful, set back in a valley beside a huge Mountain.
I visted a Mexican theatre once in a little town below Laredo,Texas and to be fair to our Mexican friends your theatres that saw in that town looked just as bad as the one or two downtown theatres in Laredo. This was in 1975.
Oh,AS i told the CT folks when I submitted the Circle Drive-in I was not 100% sure if the name was right; saw it off the interstate heading towards Columbia,S.C. for years.
OH,I am giving you and Michael a break.Surprized Michael hasn’t commented on my “STAR WARS” post on WEIS CINEMA CENTRE.I thought anytime a comment on “STAR WARS” hit CT some buzz would go off in his computer.LOL.
Thanks Allen.Love reading stories from Theatre people.
