I might have an “ANNIE HALL” one sheet we never got much UA product at Plitt.I guess you were going to show her old theatres around town like I did Nick when he came up from Flordia.
Really Amazing the Army & Air Force theatres would have built a new theatre on Post. Most if not all the guys and gals stationed there were taking taxis on the post bus out to Augusta’s Theatres once the weekend hit,I know we got hundreds at Regency Mall I,II,&III during the early 80’s when that Mall was Georgia’s Largest.
I remember hearing the story Former President Carter went to a GCC theatre in Atlanta and the Secret Service having to clear out the mens room.I think it was Perimeter Mall Cinemas.
You know i Noticed the Vomit comment on “JAWS” we played it at the IMPERIAL in Augusta,Georgia and of the tens of thousands that came I recall one person throwing up and it was Heat related. It gets HOT in Georgia. I think and will always believe these Vomit stories are way too many, and not factual.
I have Boxes and boxes from behind the screen at my old theatre, but they have been in my basement so long, don’t know if they would be good.Love to give them away to a good home.
I like Woody Allen, have his address.been tempted to write and get him to sign a “ANNIE HALL” 8 by 10. I read where he is a good signer. Did you get to show patsy the theatres you worked.
thanks Chuck, I couldn’t tell where the theatre was with those Hawaiiian names.I guess I was close. The Theatre looking at the picture I have from the newspaper, looks to hsve been built in the 30’s or 40’s.
It is not listed in my 1956 Motion Picture Almanac, wonder if it closed sooner. 75 cars is downright small for a city the size of Savannah.
The Plant City Drive-in later changed for some reason to Dover Drive-in was owned by C.C. Blake and parked 300 cars.
Yes,Great pictures.

Thanks Raymond for a good read.
Thanks Marc.
Looking at the pictures you gotta be kidding Me!
Never understood anyone wanting to hold Church in movie theatre.

It was operated by ARMY & AIR FORCE THEATRES.
Thanks Chris for a nice looking picture on a forgotten twin.
Eric,I am with you.I see 007 when he is out other than that all my heroes,Heston,Wayne, Lancaster, and even Clint are history.
“LICENCE TO KILL” the first non-smoking 007,even mentioned in the end credits.
