Raysson,why would you even put yourself in that position. I worked plenty of Black films in the 70’s at the IMPERIAL in Augusta,and other than them talking back to the screen,which we gave up trying to keep people quite on a “SHAFT” film. We never had a fight and we did not need to hire a cop like so many theatres are doing mainly because of all the blasted screens.Glad i got out in 83.
TLsloews, this guy,Ray Hutto BUILT his own twin theatre and showed 35mm.Even GCC was impressed we went out to see his theatres.He even played a 007 trailer for us O.H.M.S.S. .

MASTERS 4 is playing on 04-26-78 “AN UNMARRIED WOMAN” rated R.on May 5 1980 Don Adams returns as the real MAXWELL SMART in the “NUDE BOMB” hundred times better than that last GET SMART effort. Rated PG.
12-20-78 Clint’s first movie for REGENCY opens “EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE” this surprize sleeper has legs continuing a nice run at SOUTHGATE about a mile away.
Hank Fonda and Lucille Ball share the screen in “YOURS,MINE,and OURS” 5-22-68 rated G at National Hills. 5-17-69 sees Paul Newman in “WINNING” I remember several filling stations near National Hills had the one sheet taped on the glass window of the station.Moving up to my time we have “MOTHER,JUGS and SPEED” opening 6-11-76 rated PG.Does not live up to expectations at all. 6-20-80 “THE BLUES BROTHERS” hit town in a rowdy R-rated comedy for a rather classy theatre.
A great western, “THE MAN THAT LOVED CAT DANCING” rated pg opens 07-04-73,{I saw it there}.
“THE GANG THAT COULDN"T SHOOT STRAIGHT” rated PG plays 12-22-74.
12-24-69 “BOB&CAROL&TED & ALICE” opens at the Imperial rated R.
07-21-71 “ANDERSON TAPES” opens with Sean Connery as a bad guy.
01-30-74 sees the violent and not a comedy “LAUGHING POLICEMAN” open at the Imperial.{i saw it there. Bruce Dren was great in it.}
12-24-75 “LUCKY LADY” opens at the Miller with the big cast it dies quick.
