I just know LOEWS as too big of a bigshot outfit to have to lower themselves to booking “THE MAGIC CHRISTIAN” or “TOMMY” on late shows. I bet you guys never played a late show. didn’t want beer vomit on your carpets.LOL!

Yeah, Will you are probably right, but we did it late after the last feature, sipping a few cold ones, and we did place it in a trailer that most likely was trashed after National Screen service got it back.,

As stated above in 1956 it held 300 cars and was owned by Rubin Frels. ELCAMPO was home to the EAGLE DRIVE-in too.

Yeah, they really need to just think about everything and get it on paper. I would love to add your stories to a book i wrote about NATIONAL HILLS THEATRE. If they, and you could type up stories I don’t have i would love to add it to my book. I know Bill made up one from the IMPERIAL.

Geez,we never had name tags when i was at Plitt or General Cinema. I got enough of “MR.ROGERS” at GCC. Wish Fred Rogers of the Neighorhood would have went by something else. I can take a toast for the gang. I told you this CT was habit forming .You stay on it for awhile and you will meet some great old theatre people like i have.
You are going to have together with “THE GIRLS” and start putting Stories down. You see what i was able to with our three theatres. I expect it from you guys..

Yeah, I read about him shortly after getting on CT. he must have been well thought of by all the articles i have read. i wish I had the time like Nick to really research, because there are still a few theatres and one black drive-in here that still have not made it on CT. Nick’s stories are Priceless. Chuck, I am curious, you might have mentioned it somewhere,Did you ever work in the Theatre business. I am amazed how many folks on CT never tore a ticket.

I would like to see Lisa just to ask about Mark. I sent some theatre pictures to you so by Friday they outta be in the mail. It maybe hard to believe but Iam a diet coke guy. After those wild theatre years from 17 to about 25 I did enough Bud drinking to support St.Louis for years. I can’t place Diane at in my Mind. You and Cathy no problem,Well. Who knows you wouldn’t know me today.Long hair, but Gray, Gave up that silly hair dye. I always looke liked Groucho Marx.

I really think it was open in the early 80’s. My cousin would know and i will have to get him give a date. I think the JOY DRIVE-in closed in the late 70’s. Like i said on the 20th century Drive-in post,i need to be more like Nick and research better than using the old brain.

Hey, What in the HECK are talking about a NATIONALHILLS THEATRE reunion on this NORTH 85 site. We need to move it to our theatre, even though I know this THEATRE IS YOURS TOO. See you at National Hills theatre, maybe the Tinneys will see it there.

Ithink I can squezze into it. TIE too. when we put together our 1985 reunion it took months really to get a good turn out. If we plan another one maybe we can do what we did last FAll when we all met at a nice place and enjoyed food and drinks. Bob GORDON Smith.ACCU-Bob on TV 12 got the ball rolling on that one.He was a projectionist before he ever did the Weather.Bill can tell you about Gordon.

He seemed like a nice guy on TV. Wouldn’t think he was ever a theatre manager since seeing show. He really loved films i can tell. Wasn’t he a film critic on his show comments on movies? i sorta remember him interveiwing folks like BURT REYNOLDS in his Georgia movie days.

Ray, Glad I found this.I couldn’t remember for the life of me the theatre you spoke about over the phone. I saw the PICKERS on the HISTORY CHANNEL. they really didn’t find too much. I thought what they found would worth more. HEY, Don’t forget SOUTHSIDE CINEMA pictures.

Cliff, I remember him from PBS shows that would air in AUGUSTA. Yeah, i knew Jim Whaley. Always loveed those one sheets that surrounded his set. I bet Georgia public TV has his shows on tape somewhere.
