This opened as the General Cinema Mentor Mall Cinema I-II-III on March 21st, 1975 and expanded to 5 screens in 1983 and was renamed Erie Commons on November 17th, 1989. On October 3rd, 1997, the Carmike Sikes 6 was expanded to ten screens (including two THX certified screens). Carmike Cinemas purchased it, along with the two Cineplex locations, on May 29th, 1992.
