The Arcadia Theatre commenced operations on October 4th, 1911, with its newspaper advertisements concluding in 1931. Subsequently, Weis Theatres reopened the venue under the name Roxy on May 10th; however, operations ceased in 1953.
The Patio drive was located at 2817 Tremont near Ogeechee Rd. It opened on October 22nd, 1954. Grand opening ad with location map posted. It didn’t last long.
The Odeon theatre was opened by Montgomery & Eberstein, which owned the Grand in Jacksonville, on October 1st, 1910. It was renamed the Montgomery No. 2 on November 3rd, 1911. More to come for this theatre. Ads posted.
