I’m glad I was able to visit a few times during the porn era. It had a large auditorium. I was hopeful, until reading this, that it might re-open.

Somewhere out there are pictures of the theatre when it Rio Piedras, Spanish language programing in the 70’s

I’m sure we can say goodbye to this theatre. The land is very valuable. Another damn apartment will replace it.
I went to the New Adonis (for research). I’m glad I got the chance to see the old theatre before it was closed. The balcony was still open.
I wonder how long the church will keep the building in light of the present development

I went there today for the first time. I think I was in screen two. The air conditioning was not hardly on and it was somewhat warm in the theatre. And there was a musty smell.
Would the congregation object to anyone taking pictures of the interior?
I haven’t seen it but I hear there is a FOR SALE sign up on the building.
I would love walk around inside.
In its last years this place was a shit hole. The bathrooms were trashed.
