I think it opened at REGENCY MALL I.II and III Cinemas in Augusta, then shipped over to National Hills on a much larger Screen.Pity it never opened at National Hills in 70mm.But we never did get a lot of Fox Product at our Plitt theatres here.
Yes,Dave,Davis came home and gave a lecture about his work I bought the book and a Print of The IMPERIAL.just wish he would have done it when we had a better Movie.
thanks Gregg for getting this theatre on,Odd a Disney and another non-Disney on a Double feature. I assume “C'MON LET’S LIVE A LITTLE” is not a Disney film.
You told me months ago you didn’t think it would open .didn’t you.I know you guys have plenty of Screens in that city.Hope Nick gets your stuff on soon.
thanks Shaina and Chuck. She should have snapped a picture of the Road marquee,if it is still standing.I bet my Cousin had boxes of 35mm Trailers.I guess he dumped them since All i got were the one-sheets.I think I did get a couple of 007 Trailers. Can’t do much with them but roll out and look at the frames.
Yep,Nick.I bet Bill Played it. And Robin was the manager.i am a Coke guy.Working at GCC was tough in the soft drink department.Think I drank a lot of a LOTTA LEMON.Just drove by Old NATIONAL HILLS all that left is just the Theatre and hanging off the side of the auditorium was future home “LEGENDS OF GOLF” and Hospitally. So I guess once a year when THE MASTERS is being played across the street the place will open one week for guests.
the 81 Drive-in hasn’t been mentioned on CT since 2008!It was owned by O.F.Sullivan and parked 600 cars.
So Nashville, like Charlotte decided it was more important to tear down these classic buildings for parking or office space, what a shame.
thanks Joe.
I thought it expanded to Four Screens?
Great ads Mike,“French Connection II” certainly a disappointment at many theatres.
