I remember this theater well. Started going here in 1969 or so when I was 9, I was, and am, a huge movie buff. When I was going in thr 70’s, the Granada was only open Friday through Sunday. It played films the manager thought not able to make for a whole week which played the Maco theater. I remember from 1969 through 1976, when it first played on TV, every August The Sound of Music played and I tried to go all 3 nights. The Deutsch family were acquaintances of my family, and he told me once a film was on TV he would not play it again. I was so disappointed. Lots of great memories here including the Godzilla matinees.
