Poitier had two first-runs in 1961. The first was in the summer month of June at the New Main Theatre, “A Raisin in the Sun.” Later, in December, he was third billed in “Paris Blues,” at Loew’s Ohio. Also, he was present in neighborhood second-run theaters.
