Lou Ana Theater
In 1951, customers weren’t too happy with a management change at the African American Lou Ana Theatre as the patrons felt African American ownership and operation would be a more supportable arrangement. So in fairly quick succession - and in a move covered by the film exhibition trade press of the era - the Lou Ana moves to Marigold operation under a group headed by African Americans Borel Dauphin and Dr. A.C. Terrence.
