Trenton’s State Street Theatre clung to its live stage traditions that dated back to the turn of the Century after turning to silent film in the 1920s. But the Depression found it struggling and dark much of the time so RKO took on the State beginning on December 25, 1935 with “The Three Musketeers” and a new look.
